World's largest battery system! Tesla plans to deploy oversized Megapack system in Hawaii

According to foreign media reports, Tesla is preparing to deploy one of the world's largest battery systems on an island in Hawaii. The battery system includes 244 value-for-money meal giant batteries, which is Tesla's latest giant battery system.

After many rumors and expectations, Tesla launched its own "value package" giant battery last year. This is the latest energy storage product that this enterprise company can launch after powerpack and powerwall, and it is a bigger option for future development of power engineering projects. According to Tesla, a Megapack battery can store up to 3 MWh and the converter can reach 1.5 MWh. Tesla CEO Elon Musk called for a special miracle to buy new Megapack batteries to replace polluting and inefficient power plants. Some power companies have begun to consider Musk over the past few months, saying that this proposal already has several plans for deploying premium battery packs. At present, according to media understanding, Tesla is bidding for a new Megapack battery management related project in Hawaii, USA. Hawaii Power Corporation, Hawaii's largest power company, provides 95% of national electricity. Currently, the company is developing a huge energy storage project for the Abad Kach Valley Tiger, with the goal of providing load transfer services and providing backup power to the grid.

Since last summer, this corporate company has been receiving project management proposals for the program, and Tesla Development's proposal to use Megapack batteries seems to be one of the front runners in passing these questions. Hawaiian Electric has released a draft environmental assessment for the Tesla project. The project has a planned battery capacity of 810 MWh, which will be the largest battery in the world. From a long-term perspective, its energy system capacity will be more than six times that of Tesla's 100MW / 129MWh battery pack project in South Australia. This project and when China was built a few years ago was the largest battery in the world.

The "497" plan includes the deployment of 244 "497" Megapack batteries. According to Hawaiian Power, the project will cost between $ 200 million and $ 300 million, and it expects a final decision on whether to proceed with the project in May. If the project of the enterprise Tesla is finally selected, Tesla expects that China will begin development and construction in March next year in order to put it into operation in the market in 2022.
